We're Reading and Writing but no 'Rithmetic

I recently picked up a book (Ocenas Apart) by Karen Kingsbury from the library. This will be the first book I've read by her so I thought I would look online and find out more about her. I came across this clip:

I've definitely been reading more. Our family max out our library cards regularly and make sure to keep the bookstores in business. There is nothing like the feel of a book in your hands.

This year is shaping up to be a great one for reading. I'm not sure if it is the recession or what but I've noticed more family, friends,and even some foes maxing out there library cards and visiting more bookstores. That is a great thing!

make you want to curl up with a good book while sipping coffee or hot chocolate or tea.

Or possibly curl up with some nice homemade soup or chili with a book...

Just do it. Take time to rediscover the joy of reading

but we've finally been able to get more radio shows on tape/cd from the library. Yesterday we picked up and listed to - The National Lampoon Radio Hour "Best Moments". It wasn't my favorite - by a long shock and I only found a few funny, but I'm hoping this means that the ones I've had on hold are starting to come in.
